The National Park Service and the American Indian Alaska Native Tourism Association have agreed on a cooperative agreement to help facilitate regular, robust, and meaningful dialogue between tribes and the Park Service. Strengthening relationships with tribal governments is a cornerstone of the Biden-Harris Administration and this partnership aims to ensure that the perspectives, voices and traditions of indigenous communities are incorporated into exhibits, outreach and cultural tourism programs in national parks.

The northern half of Athabasca Park (the Information Centre lawn) will be closed over the next six months for the construction of the Jasper Indigenous Exhibit. Occasional sidewalk closures along Connaught Drive, adjacent to the site, may also occur.

Parts of Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area, including the Paramount Ranch, that were lost to the Woolsey Fire in 2018 would be rebuilt under a plan the National Park Service has released for comment.

Greenbelt Park in Maryland will reopen to vehicles, camping, and picnicking on November 1 following a major road rehabilitation project. Visitors will enjoy repaved roads, a new bridge over Still Creek, a renovated ranger station and improved campsites, the National Park Service announced.
