Company Proposing Mine North of Glacier NP Agrees to Environmental Review

    Well here's some good news. A Canadian mining company that wants to sink a coal mine to the north of Glacier National Park has agreed to submit the project to an extensive environmental review rather than opening a smaller mine that could later be enlarged.
    Canadian officials relayed that good news earlier this week to the Flathead Basin Commission. Opponents to the mine fear it could pollute lakes and streams in and around Glacier.
