Published Date

November 23, 2006

There are a lot of fans of Sequoia/Kings Canyon National Park out there.
In round three of the balloting for favorite parks, Sequoia/Kings Canyon received 41.5 percent, or 34, of the 82 votes cast last week to run away with the preliminary round balloting. Second place honors went to the Blue Ridge Parkway, which was named on 16 of the ballots, followed by North Cascades National Park, which received 10 votes.
As we enter round four, the final preliminary round, Sequoia/Kings Canyon and the Blue Ridge Parkway will join Glacier, Yellowstone, Zion and Olympic in the finals.
