Pa. Authorities To Decide Gettysburg Slots Issue Wednesday

Share

Published Date

December 18, 2006

Whether a casino will open near Gettysburg National Military Park likely could be decided Wednesday when the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board votes on that question.
I say "could," because no matter how the board votes the decision likely will be contested in court. After all, look at how long courts and politicians have kept alive the issue of snowmobiles in Yellowstone.
If you want to let the Control Board know your position on this issue, visit this site and send the board an email.
If you live in or near Pennsylvania and want to attend the board's meeting, it's scheduled to be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Forum Building at 5th and Walnut Streets in Harrisburg.
