Welcome Valley Forge National Historical Park to the electronic age. Just in time for President's Day weekend the park recently debuted its very own collection of podcasts.
So instead of interacting with a ranger, you can download podcasts that discuss current events in the park, Native Americans and their role in the Revolutionary War, even a commentary from a slave who cooked for General Washington. You can download the casts either at home or at the park.
This might be great for school kids who have to write a paper on Valley Forge. They can download the podcasts and bone up on the park without even having to visit it.
Of course, this begs a question: Is this progress in park interpretation? What do you think?
