Published Date

April 25, 2007

Another park unit is proposing to increase its entrance fees. This time the higher fees are being proposed for Allegheny Portage Railroad National Historic Site, Johnstown Flood National Memorial, and Fort Necessity National Battlefield, all located in western Pennsylvania.
The increase would take the cost of an annual pass that gains you entrance to those three units up $5 to $20 as of January 1, 2008. The daily entrance fee to the three units would remain at $5 per person.
Public comment runs through May 15. You can email your thoughts to the parks' deputy superintendent, [email protected], or mail them to Mr. Newlin at Allegheny Portage Railroad National Historic Site, 110 Federal Park Road, Gallitzin PA 16641.
