There was little fanfare out of southwestern Colorado, but an agreement formalized the other day between Mesa Verde National Park and two archaeological parks in Mexico was a landmark that will enhance the future of all three parks.
The agreement between Mesa Verde and Zona Arqueologica de Paquime and Zona de Monte Alban calls for the three to "share management, research, preservation and education techniques and increase the exchange of scholars, historians, artists and cultural workers," according to a story in the Cortez Journal.
