ARC: Protect The Planet, Be A Gas Guzzler

So much news, so little time to relay it.
I came across a gem the other day, one that recounted how Derrick Crandall, the head of the American Recreation Coalition, testified recently before Congress on how global warming might affect the recreation industry. In the comments I saw he didn't voice concern about Glacier's melting glaciers, or the possibility that Everglades could become inundated.
No, his message was scarier than that. He voiced fear that the gas-guzzling SUV might be legislated out of existence!
For the full story, skip over to Scott Silver's blog at Wild Wilderness and read about Mr. Crandall's concerns. And then ask yourself why he has a front-row seat at Interior Department meetings concerning the national parks.
