Shenandoah National Park in late spring and early summer can be a glorious place, with wildflowers popping up in the meadows, songbirds returning to the mountainous setting, streams running full, and warm breezes.

Book a stay in one of the park's lodges now for a visit between April 12th and June 25th and you'll be able to lop roughly a third off the normal bill. The "Early Bird Special" rate is $104 for a room for two at either the Skyland Resort or the Big Meadows Lodge on Mondays through Thursdays (sorry, no weekenders folks, and no deal on May 24, Memorial Day). That rate also gets you and your significant other breakfast.

The package, which covers taxes, utility surcharge and even meal gratuities, according to ARAMARK, the park concessionaire, is good at Skyland Resort from April 12th through June 25th. At Big Meadows, the deal runs May 25th through June 25th.

You can take advantage of this deal by calling (800) 778-2872 or logging on to the concessionaire's web site.
