What beats a family weekend at a national park? Getting $100 knocked off the price tag of that weekend. And that's the Earth Day present being offered today by the North Cascades Institute.
In celebration of Earth Day, the institute is offering families of three or more $100 off the total registration fee for the Memorial Weekend Family Getaway at North Cascades Environmental Learning Center, which lies within North Cascades National Park.
The cost, before the discount, is $225 per adult and $155 per child. Those fees cover meals, lodging, and all activities. And don't worry about sleeping on the ground, as this weekend -- May 23, 24 & 25 -- offer includes accommodations in the institute's lodges.
Wonderful meals, with the tastes of young diners in mind, are served buffet-style in our lakeside dining hall. Kids and adults will enjoy learning about nature through adventures on the lake and trails, games, arts and crafts, storytelling and scientific explorations. Plus, there will be plenty of free time so your family can do your own thing too.
Hike in towering forests and along rambling streams, canoe Diablo Lake and enjoy stories and songs around the campfire. Mothers and daughters, fathers and sons, grandparents and grandchildren, families of all shapes and sizes--all are welcome!
Registration includes lodging, meals and all activities. Family Getaways are not eligible for scholarships or the first-timer discount.
