The body of a 20-year-old student from Penn State has been recovered from a deep pool in Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
Nublan Zaki Norhadi, of Malaysia, disappeared into the pool below Abrams Falls on Sunday. His body was recovered about 1:30 p.m. Monday from about 30 feet under water by divers, according to Great Smoky spokesman Bob Miller.
This is the third drowning in that section of stream since 2004. In April 2004 a 13-year-old drowned while on a middle school field trip, and in July 2006 a young man drowned there, according to Mr. Miller.
