There's been another death in Yosemite National Park. Rangers say a 23-year-old concession company employee from Florida apparently fell to his death from a cliff above Mirror Lake in the Yosemite Valley.
The body of Christopher Hale of Gainesville, Florida, was found Monday. Mr. Hale, who had been reported missing Sunday morning, was found by park rangers at 1:00 p.m. Monday afternoon. They say it appears that the man fell from an unnamed cliff face above Mirror Lake in eastern Yosemite Valley. The exact cause of death and other details remain under investigation.
Mr. Hale was an employee of DNC Parks and Resorts at Yosemite, Inc., the park’s primary concessionaire. He was in training in Yosemite Valley and was slated to work at White Wolf.
On Saturday, 40-year-old Manoj Kumar, a resident of San Ramon, California, fell to his death while descending the cable handrails from the top of Half Dome.
