Support National Parks Traveler

Your support for the National Parks Traveler comes at a time when news organizations are finding it hard, if not impossible, to stay in business. Traveler's work is vital. For nearly two decades we've provided essential coverage of national parks and protected areas. With the Trump administration’s determination to downsize the federal government, and Interior Secretary Doug Burgum’s approach to public lands focused on energy exploration, it’s clear the Traveler will have much to cover in the months and years ahead. We know of no other news organization that provides such broad coverage of national parks and protected areas on a daily basis. Your support is greatly appreciated.

So it shows the abstract, then says "Abstract:" and shows it again. At least it's there, though! Twice is better than not at all.

Sigh.

As they say, nothing worthwhile is ever easily attained!

I'm getting the content through the rss feed. If I might suggest though... can you provide the full feed? Also there's now something labeled "abstract" on the articles... is that new? Bot the article and abstract come through the rss, which doesn't seem necessary (two things of equal length, that say basically the same thing).

Ah I see Kirby is saying the same thing.

:)

Anyway, my vote is for the full article (and pictures!!) to be sent through the rss. :D Thanks!!

J

Yes, my traveler feeds are back on myYahoo. The abstract thing is something that appeared for all of my RSS feeds a little while ago. But it is not too bad. With it you get a much longer list of articles on the left to click on; and, of course, you can go to the full article. Thanks for getting that fixed.

Now, if you could just get the "Recent comments" column fixed so that it gives not only the first line of the comment but the title of the article, like it did before, then I would be in hog heaven.

We're working on a fix for the comments, Bogator. I wish I could give you an ETA, but some things just take longer than you'd expect.

Thanks Kurt. You guys do a great job. I enjoy traveler very much.

Everything's good again with Traveler on My Yahoo.
Whew. I feel a little more relaxed already. My daily breathe of fresh air is back.
Thank you.

Glad to hear things are getting back to normal, folks. And thanks for the kudos, Bogator. We try. Some days harder than others, but we try;-) Be sure to check out our flickr page:

We're getting some fine shots up there, and it's only been day 1.
