'Droid users can download a free national parks app from Chimani that will allow them to make a "virtual passport" tracking their visits to national parks.

OK all you 'Droid owners, now's the time for you to add a national park app to your phone...for free!

The Chimani National Parks app currently is being made available for free. With this particular app you can create a virtual passport of your visits to any one of the 394 National Park System locations.

To get the app, go to this page.

Shameless self-promotion: And, with this app you can subscribe (for $1.99) to a news feed from the Traveler, the Internet’s only website dedicated to covering America’s National Park System and the National Park Service on a daily basis.

With this news feed you'll be able to stay up-to-date on the latest news, features, and commentaries surrounding the National Park System when you're on the road.
