If you haven't been checking the Traveler's Visit Your Park section recently, know that two more parks have been added to the archives: Glacier Bay National Park and Shenandoah National Park.

Within each profile on these two parks you'll find sections on park history, lodging, camping, hiking, wildlife and more. For instance, in the Glacier Bay section you'll find a well-researched and written primer on the park's glaciers by Dr. Daniel E. Lawson of the Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory in Hanover, New Hampshire.

The Shenandoah Park section includes an article on fall colors in the park and an article on some of the unusual things you might encounter during a multi-day hike.

We're working on more of these profiles for other parks in the system. And we'll soon have a search button available on the homepage that will take you to the park of your choice in the Traveler's archives.

In the meantime, we hope you find the existing park profiles helpful for planning a park trip. And don't hesitate to forward any recommendations for content we should add to them.
