It just got easier to follow your favorite unit of the National Park System on the Traveler.
If you click that Visit Your Park button on the toolbar above, you'll be taken to a page that lists every (we think) unit of the National Park System. Nearly 400 in all. And we've broken them down by designation, so if you're looking for a national monument, you can easily find what you're looking for relatively quickly.
Click on a link and you'll either be taken to a chronological list of every story the Traveler has written involving that specific unit or, if we haven't gotten around to that unit yet, you'll be forwarded to the respective nps.gov page.
Finally, we are slowly building expanded guidebook-like pages on park units. These pages contain an overview of the park in question and provide information on lodging, camping, wildlife, hiking, park history, and additional material that can help when it comes to planning a visit. You also can find the latest news on that park near the bottom of the page.
