A fun activity is scheduled for Saturday at Ninety Six National Historic Site in South Carolina, where the 31st Autumn Candlelight Tour will be held, weather permitting.
During the tour, reenactors will present scenes from colonial life and the American Revolution along a mile-long interpretive trail lit by the soft glow of hundreds of luminaries and lanterns.
Tours will begin at 7 p.m. and leave at 10-minute intervals, with the last tour at 8:20 p.m. Tours last approximately 75 minutes. Each tour will be accompanied by a guide lighting the way with a period lantern.
Tickets are free and are only available the evening of the event at the information tent located near the main parking area.
Additionally, the 22-minute park film, "Ninety Six: Crossroads of a Revolution," will be available for viewing in the visitor center until 8:30 p.m., and the gift shop will be open until 9 p.m.
Visitors should wear comfortable outdoor clothing and walking shoes. It's also suggested that visitors bring a flashlight. The park encourages visitors to carpool as parking will be limited.
