5-Year-Old Dies In Boating Accident At Glen Canyon National Recreation Area

A 5-year-old was killed instantly at Glen Canyon National Recreation Area in Utah when he fell out of a boat and was struck by the propeller, according to park officials.

The accident happened about 6:30 p.m. Friday when the boat hit a wave and the boy, who was riding in the bow of the vessel, was thrown out and run over.

Everyone onboard was wearing a life jacket and no alcohol was involved, the park reported.
