Let the voting begin.
Whether you prefer Yellowstone National Park, or North Cascades National Park, now is your chance to help fund teen programs in one of those two parks. Through the North Face Explore Fund, the Yellowstone Park Foundation and the North Cascades Institute are in the running for grants for their teen programs.
The Yellowstone Park Foundation has been awarded a $10,000 grant from North Face for its Park Journeys program, which is an intense program that fosters strength and resilience in underserved teens by giving them a five-day learning opportunity in Yellowstone. Now the Foundation is among 10 groups in the running for $25,000. The top five vote-getting organizations will each receive $25,000, the bottom five get to keep their $10,000 grants.
North Cascades Institute’s Youth Leadership Adventures received a $10,000 grant from the North Face. The program features a range of summer opportunities for Washington high school-aged students on local public lands, as well as year-round mentorship and local stewardship opportunities. During 8, 15 and 31-day summer expeditions, students canoe, camp, backpack and complete service projects in the North Cascades backcountry while receiving hands-on training in outdoor leadership, field science, communication skills and public speaking
Voting continues through the end of July on North Face's Facebook page.
