Behind Grand Canyon's stunning landscape there are stories of people who lived off the land, explored, mined, and exploited it, raised a family and business, and fought to protect it for future generations.

You can travel back in time again by attending Grand Canyon National Park's 2nd annual living history event, Echoes from the Canyon. During the program on August 10th you'll "meet" eight important people who made the Grand Canyon what it is today.

Join park staff at 8 p.m. at the McKee Amphitheater on the South Rim on August 10 for the program that will look at John Wesley Powell, the Kolb brothers, Mary Colter, and others whose impacts on the park can be seen today.
