Here's a little advance warning for a photo op -- good weather prevailing, of course -- for Tumacácori National Historical Park in Arizona. Artists and photographers looking for a chance to capture the magical light of early morning at Tumacácori can set aside two days in the coming months.
"The church and surrounding mission grounds are a perennial favorite for artists," said Superintendent Bob Love. "We are excited to welcome painters and photographers for these special early openings."
On Thursday, February 6th at 7 a.m., and Wednesday, March 5th at 6:30 a.m., Tumacácori will open early for anyone wishing to experience sunrise over the mission. Artists and other visitors should observe all park regulations and policies. Commercial filming or photography may require a special-use permit.
Admission to the park is $3.00 per adult, free for federal pass holders and children under age 16. For more information, call 520-398-2341, extension 0.
