North Cascades National Park Looking For Colonial Creek Campground Hosts

North Cascades National Park is looking for a campground host to spend the summer at the Colonial Creek Campground on Diablo Lake/NPS

Got some time on your hands this summer and looking for a great place to hang out? The folks at North Cascades National Park in Washington state is looking for some campground hosts.

The location is the Colonial Creek Campground on Diablo Lake, and you'll have free utilities and a hook-up provided.

While living in your recreational vehicle at the campground's host site, you'll be expected to put in 32 hours per week  to cover peak hours from 8 a.m. to noon and from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. for four days each week. There may also be an opportunity to work at the Newhalem Campground as well.

While representing the National Park Service, your main duties will include greeting visitors, providing campground and area information, and registering campers. You will work as part of a team of rangers and maintenance staff to provide quality customer service to the visiting public. A positive demeanor and excellent communication skills are a must. Unfortunately there is no WI-FI or cell phone signals are available at the site, although there is cell service in Newhalem and Marblemount, Washington.
