The Helinox Table One and Chair One, with the Alite Designs Mayfly on the left/NPT
Roughing it isn't always as difficult as it once was, and with two pieces of camp furniture from Big Agnes it gets even more comfortable.
Stow the Helinox Table One and its Chair One companion and there's no need to pull up a stump for dinner. These two items are lightweight, small-packing, and assemble quickly.
Table One (MSRP $99.95, 1 pound, 5 ounces) comes with two mesh cup holders in the middle of a tabletop measuring 24 inches by 16 inches and standing 16 inches above the dirt. Chair One (MSRP $99.95, 2 pounds) will hold up to 320 pounds, keep you 13.5 inches above the dirt, and has a mesh back panel to keep you cool.
It was just more than a year ago that we took a look at Alite Designs' Mayfly chair. Built from a collection of 210 denier ripstop nylon and aluminum alloy tubing that weighs less than 2 pounds and packs down to 11-and-a-half inches by 4-and-a-third inches, the Mayfly (MSRP $100) keeps you a couple of inches closer to the ground than does Chair One. As such, you'll spend your time looking up at your friends if they resort to larger chairs, or even stumps.
Though it's very similar in design to the Mayfly, Chair One's added height is much appreciated. Table One is a nice companion, keeping your food and drink up above the dirt. Both pack down into their own zippered bags, making it easy to stow them. With Father's Day right around the corner, these two pieces likely won't disappoint.
