Think it'd be nice to spend some time relaxing this winter in Death Valley, or maybe in Sedona, or perhaps in Wyoming right outside Yellowstone National Park? Those destinations could be on your calendar if you're the winning bidder in a fund-raising auction for Friends of Saguaro National Park.

No need to attend the non-profit's annual Friends Dinner -- set for October 26 at the Tanque Verde Ranch outside Saguaro National Park. Friends of Saguaro is working with Bidding For Good to make 67 of their most popular auction items available for bids online. Items such as a two-night stay at the Inn at Furnace Creek in Death Valley National Park, plus two rounds of golf; a two-night stay at the Togwotee Mountain Lodge in Wyoming; a two-night stay on the South Rim of Grand Canyon National Park, or; a two-night stay at the L'Auberge de Sedona resort.

You can explore the possibilities, and bid on them, at this site. Online bids will be accepted until 11:59 pm on Friday, October 24. The highest online bids will become the base bids at the (live) Friends Auction on October 26, and event attendees will have to exceed the online bid if they want to secure the item.

Profits from the auction help the friends group help Saguaro National Park with its unmet needs, such as trail work.
