Bucking Cataract Canyon's rapids were just one highlight of Traveler's float trip through Canyonlands National Park with Holiday River Expeditions/Patrick Cone
From September 28 through October 3 a group of park travelers floated through Canyonlands National Park, enjoying the scenery, the camaraderie, and a great measure of solitude.
The 17 guests, and the five guides from Holiday River Expeditions, capped the floating season for National Parks Traveler, which had a similar trip through Dinosaur National Monument on the Yampa River back in June.
Helping make the Canyonlands' float a success were Chaco, Cascade Designs, National Park Posters, Vapur, and Taylor Trade Publishing, which contributed gear and books to take down the river and posters to hang on home walls to remember the journey.
More details, and photos, of this trip will be featured in Traveler's 3rd Annual Essential Guide To Paddling The National Parks early next year. Until then, we leave you with these images, and hope you'll join us on next year's trips down the Green River through Gates of Lodore and Dinosaur National Monument in June and Cataract Canyon in Canyonlands next September. Watch for specific dates.
