A Victorian Christmas Celebration will be held this Saturday at Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area in New Jersey from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. with Millbrook Village buildings decorated in mid- to late-19th century style and open for tours and demonstrations.
Those who attend can watch holiday meals being prepared over an open fire or woodstove. Enjoy the many children’s activities hosted in the Van Campen farmhouse, including hands-on period toys, games and Victorian crafts. Light refreshments will be available.
On Sunday at 5 p.m. the annual Christmas Carol Service will be held in the Millbrook Village church. All are welcome to attend this traditional hour-long carol program. Light refreshments will be available following the service.
Millbrook Village, a part of the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, is located in New Jersey on Old Mine Road, 12 miles north of Interstate 80 (Exit 1). Access is also available by following NJ Route 602 (Millbrook-Blairstown Road) 7 miles west from its intersection with Route 94 in Blairstown.
