After-Sundown Programs Scheduled At Biscayne National Park

Park After Dark programs featuring ranger-guided boat tours on scenic Biscayne Bay and a concert by singer/songwriter Grant Livingston take place from January 21 until April 15 at Biscayne National Park in Florida.

Each family-friendly program includes free s'mores and a campfire. Telescopes will be available to view the night skies. The programs begin on the grounds of the Dante Fascell Visitor Center at 6 p.m. and run until 9 p.m. The boat tours are $15 per person, and the concert is free.

  • January 21, March 18, and April 15: Evening Cruises on the Bay programs feature 75-minute-long ranger-guided cruises on scenic Biscayne Bay. Trips depart at 6 and 7:30 p.m. each day. Reservations are required and may be made by calling 786-335-3644. The cruises cost $15 per person and are weather dependent.
  • February 18: Free music performance from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. featuring singer/songwriter Grant Livingston, "South Florida's Historian in Song." Livingston’s music takes inspiration from ragtime, country, blues, and swing, and his stories-in-song include characters from South Florida history woven into the poignant and funny lyrics. Bring lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy the free music, campfire, and s'mores in a beautiful setting.

In addition to the scenic boat trips and music, the Dante Fascell Visitor Center and grounds will remain open for exploration until 9 p.m. The visitor center is located at 9700 SW 328 Street, nine miles east of Homestead.
