Join park astronomers for the Second Annual Star Party in Mesa Verde National Park in Colorado later this month.
You'll be able to enjoy the wonders of the night sky at the Morefield Campground Amphitheater on Saturday, September 16, from 8 p.m.- 10 p.m. Plan to arrive by 7:45 p.m. to park and set up your seats.
With clear skies, you'll get a look at Saturn's surreal 3D rings, and a myriad of Milky Way glittering treasures under the pristine, dark skies of Mesa Verde, park staff said. Highlights will include constellation identification, multicultural sky stories, and stunning telescope views of the many beautiful heavenly objects adorning the late summer and early fall night sky.

- Dress warmly
- Bring a camp chair
- No dogs, please
- Bring binoculars, if you have them
- Red lights ONLY after dark
- Morefield Campground is located four miles into the park.
