Get Involved in the Planning Process

In 2016 the Park Service committed to completing a management plan for Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument in three years. A series of listening sessions and a workshop were held in 2016 and 2017 to hear from the public about the future management of the monument. Topics and discussion items from these events may be viewed online and will help shape the content of public meetings on the management plan.

The planning process will be facilitated by The Musson Group, a Maine-based consulting firm specializing in Land Use and Community Planning, Economic Development, Permitting and Project Management.

Public meetings will be held throughout 2018 to hear from community members and interested groups on a variety of management topics. More information on upcoming meetings and the planning process will be upcoming.
