A potent moist storm heading towards California could cause significant impacts to Yosemite National Park, prompting the park staff to cancel reservations for campsites in the North Pines Campground and some in the Lower Pines Campground for Friday and Saturday.
Storm activity is expected to impact Yosemite and the surrounding area Friday through Sunday. While park roadways, campgrounds, and other facilities may be impacted, park staff say all lodging and other commercial facilities remain open. Park facilities may close at any time due to impacts from the storm, they add.
Visitors planning to travel to Yosemite National Park during the weekend should make alternative travel plans, the park said.
