Artists, aspiring and proficient, are invited to capture the setting at Alley Spring at Ozark National Scenic Riverways during a special "art in the park" evening event on June 8.

During the event you're invited to paint, draw, sculpt, or photograph from the banks of Alley Spring. What better setting for inspiration than the picturesque Alley Mill?  All visitors are welcome to walk among the artists and see their creations. Parents are encouraged to bring the kids for special art projects. These projects will be displayed in Alley Mill later this summer for all visitors to enjoy. Bring your art supplies, a chair or blanket, and your creative energy.

Art has been part of the history of national parks since the 1870s when painters captured majestic Western landscapes. Through their awe-inspiring works, the public came to see these special places in America for the first time. The works captured the imagination and spurred citizens to preserve these lands for future generations. Today, art continues to thrive in our national parks.

Alley Spring is located five miles west of Eminence, Missouri, on State Route 106.
