It's been less than nine months since National Parks Traveler launched its weekly podcast series, and already there have been more than 40,000 downloads.
We take a news magazine approach to putting together these shows, which typically run around 45 minutes. There are features about visiting the parks, news segments such as a recent interview with a professor who with a colleague closely analyzed the National Park Service's financial picture and came up with some suggestions that could make the agency more fiscally fit, and interviews touching on current events, such as how Hurricane Dorian sliced up Cape Lookout National Seashore.
Thanks to all who have downloaded some, or all, of these shows. And to those who haven't yet had the opportunity, we invite you to check them out. These podcasts are available on iTunes, Spotify, YouTube, radio.com, Twitter, Facebook, and, of course, the Traveler.
Also, please pass on episode suggestions in the comment section below. We're always looking for interesting aspects of the parks and the staff that manages them.
