National park lodging in fall and birding at Acadia National Park during migration. Can a gun protect you from bears in a national park's backcountry? What music will you hear at the Blue Ridge Music Center on the Blue Ridge Parkway? What does the Yellowstone Volcano Observatory staff do? Grizzly bears and wolves in Yellowstone. Exploring the missions at San Antonio Missions National Historical Park. Those are just a handful of topics we've explored on National Parks Traveler's podcast series.

Since we started this weekly podcast series back in mid-February 2019, episodes have been downloaded more than 119,000 times. So far there are 85 shows to choose from. You can find the shows on the Traveler website, on iTunes, Spotify, YouTube, Facebook, iHeartRadio, Radio.com and other podcast outlets.

We take a news magazine approach to these shows, so on any given week you might learn about an issue confronting the National Park Service, gain insights into a park, hear an interview with an author or newsmaker, or learn about trends in visiting public lands.

Each Sunday we release a new episode, and these shows have a long shelf life. You can download them to your phone or tablet and listen while you're on a road trip, or find some inspiration when stormy weather holes you up in your house, your tent, or your RV.

As always, if you have a suggestion for a topic or issue or individual for us to explore in a podcast, drop us a line at [email protected].
