Cedar Breaks National Monument is scheduled to open May 28 for the summer season/NPS
Cedar Breaks National Monument in Utah plans to open for the summer season on Friday, May 28, Memorial Day Weekend.
Visitor services will look different in 2021 as the park expects construction of the new Visitor Contact Station to begin this summer. The Point Supreme Overlook will be inaccessible during construction, which is expected to last most of the 2021 and 2022 seasons, but services will be provided at other locations in the park.
To help visitors plan for visiting the park this summer, a new 2021 Visitor Guide webpage is available online at www.nps.gov/cebr/planyourvisit/2021.htm. The webpage includes information about ranger programs, information booths, the park store, entrance pass sales, campground operations, and most importantly restrooms. The page will be updated regularly as the season progresses to provide visitors with the most up to date information available.
In 2020, Cedar Breaks experienced record visitation and the National Park Service expects another busy season at the breaks. Visitors are encouraged to plan ahead and arrive early, particularly in July and August. To meet the needs of park visitors this summer, park rangers will be roving at overlooks, along trails, and at two dedicated information booths daily.
