This Is The Moment For The National Parks Traveler

This is the moment for the National Parks Traveler.
You, our incredible audience of readers and listeners, have made the Traveler the top-rated source for news and features about the National Park System in the United States. Our weekly podcasts rank among the top 2 percent of the world's ~2.7 million podcasts. Now is the time for the Traveler to build significantly on that success.

At the Traveler, we depend greatly on reader and listener support to keep you informed on national parks and protected areas--Kurt Repanshek, founder and editor-in-chief.
The national parks have never been more popular...or more threatened. Beginning today, November 1, and continuing for the next eight weeks, your tax-deductible donation not only will help us land a $10,000 matching grant through a national campaign to benefit nonprofit media, but also enable us to capture additional matching dollars others have put up because of their belief in the Traveler's mission.
Those funds will enable us to: 1) develop a dedicated, geographically dispersed, small team of writers and photographers to cover the park system; 2) produce more investigative reports on how parks are being managed; 3) offer you more regular in-depth analysis of park issues, and; 4) provide insights to help you make the most of your national park adventures.
We need your support.
Without donors, the Traveler cannot continue delivering the kind of in-depth and breaking news articles you’re used to seeing on a regular basis. We need to raise at least $100,000 so we can continue to inform you about national parks and their natural, cultural, and historic resources with articles built on unbiased facts.

With your help over the next eight weeks, we can reach our goal of raising $100,000 to keep you informed on national parks and protected areas/Rebecca Latson
Please give at one of the following levels: $25, $50, $100, or $200+. If you work for a foundation or know a potential large donor who loves our national parks, please contact us directly.
National Parks Traveler is essential daily reading for anyone interested in conservation and exploration of our national parks and other public lands.-- George Stone, executive editor, travel, National Geographic
We need your support because the Traveler is a small, editorially independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit media organization. We are not part of the federal government, nor a corporate subsidiary, nor funded by large foundations. Our writers and photographers, who combined have more than a century of professional journalism experience, have enabled the Traveler to carve out a popular global niche with award-winning coverage. They strive to provide you with accurate coverage.
We tell stories that enlighten, entertain, educate and, quite frankly, sometimes annoy more than a few. Our coverage ranges from daily news events, such as the recent stories about President Biden reinstating the original boundaries of Bears Ears and Grand Staircase-Escalante national monuments and the eruption of Kīlauea volcano at Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park, to exploration of topics such as the drought that's plagued the Southwest for 20 years, the crisis of stony coral tissue loss affecting coral reefs in the park system, and how climate change is impacting the National Park System.
This is the moment for the Traveler. To support the parks. To establish long-term financial stability. Join us in that moment.

I wish you all the best and hope your fundraising efforts pay off. I do enjoy most of the articles on here but do find some of the comments a bit much from your readers. Some are good but some just really negative. Thanks for doing what you are doing.
