The seemingly relentless winter that has battered Utah has spawned rock falls that have damaged roads in Zion National Park.

Crews have been working to clear the debris and repair the damage to the Zion Canyon Scenic Drive and Kolob Canyons Road in the northwest corner of the park. These are the most recent of several similar but smaller events experienced along park roads and trails this winter, a park release said.

Work to address rockfall and road damage may affect visits to Zion; you can get the latest information at this page on the park's website.

Zion Canyon Scenic Drive

  • There's a single lane open near the work area.
  • The Zion Canyon Shuttle System is operating.
  • The road may temporarly close and delay shuttles while repairs are underway.
