A road in Gros Morne National Park will be closed until July 15 to allow for the replacement of the town of Rocky Harbour water line.

The closure is next to the southbound lane of Route 430 extending about 40 metres (130 feet) from the road shoulder to the boundary of the park in western Newfoundland between the intersection of West Link Road and Route 430 and the chlorination building pull-off (1 kilometre/0.6 miles south of the intersection).

Parks Canada advises that heavy equipment will be working and causing traffic slowdowns or stoppages in the area near the closure. Motorists should travel with caution, obey all on-site signage and posted speed limits, and observe travel instructions from flag persons and safety personnel.
