The National Parks Traveler needs your help.
Just because the Traveler is a nonprofit doesn’t mean that it can operate without revenues. If the news organization is to continue its important coverage of the National Park System and National Park Service, we need you to rally around the Traveler.
Since we started our August email campaign, we’ve seen nearly 60,000 readers come to the site. Another 10,847 people have downloaded one of our podcasts. And yet, we’ve received fewer than 70 donations, totaling less than $3,500.
Each year, more than 1.5 million readers and listeners turn to the Traveler for news about national parks, endangered species, protected areas put at risk. With more and more demands for coverage, there have to be revenues to make that coverage possible.
If each reader/listener sent us just 50 cents a year, the Traveler would be financially healthy, our coverage would be much broader and deeper, our future would be ensured.
We understand it’s August, school is starting across the country, families are squeezing in their vacations. But without your support, the Traveler will add to the list of news organization that went dark.
If you look forward to Traveler's coverage, please consider a monthly $10 donation.
We can't do it without you.
