Ongoing snowmelt coursing down the Colorado River system has poured enough water into Lake Powell at Glen Canyon National Recreation Area to allow the main boat ramp at Bullfrog to open. With both ramps now open at that location, congestion should be reduced as both ramps can handle vessels of all sizes.

Still, the National Park Service asks that you have your boats ready to launch before heading down the ramps. You can prepare your boat at the Bullfrog Visitor Center parking lot and the Old Marina Store asphalt parking lot.

A courtesy dock is available at both ramps. You're asked to limit use of courtesy docks to 10 minutes. Boaters are also reminded to follow U.S. Coast Guard regulations regarding life jackets.
