Editor's Note: This updates the status of missing Canyon Hartley as being located safe as of 9:45 a.m. in Grand Canyon Village.

Staff at Grand Canyon National Park is seeing the public’s help in locating 8-year-old Canyon Hartley. He was last seen at midnight, August 22, 2024, at site 151, Juniper Loop of Mather Campground on the South Rim.

Canyon is 4’1” tall (1.2 m tall), weighs about 60 pounds (27 kg) and has strawberry-blonde hair. He was last seen wearing a blue top, underpants, no shoes, and possibly carrying a stuffed condor.
