Camping fees at Grand Canyon National Park are taking a jump/NPS
Grand Canyon National Park camping fees will take a substantial increase on May 1, when standard frontcountry sites at Desert View, North Rim and Mather campgrounds will jump from $18 a night to $30 a night. Group sites will remain $55 per night.
The increase is the first since 2005, according to park staff.
Recreation fees provide essential funding for maintaining and improving facilities and visitor services, the staff note. Projects supported by these fees include campground repairs and improvements, increasing accessibility, and facility restoration. This fee increase will help ensure the park continues to enhance visitor services.
Park staff gathered public comments on the proposed fee increase in November and December 2024. For more information on this rate change, visit ParkPlanning - Campground Fee Increase at Grand Canyon National Park.
