Research Resumes At Franklin Expedition Wreck Sites

After two years of pandemic delays, Parks Canada's Underwater Archaeology Team has returned to the Wrecks of HMS Erebus and HMS Terror National Historic Site in Nunavut to conduct archaeological work related to the exploration and conservation of these fabled ships.

Gros Morne Trail Closes To Protect Rock Ptarmigan

The summit of Gros Morne Mountain, which includes the 8-kilometre (5-mile) Summit Trail, is closed May 1 to June 23 to protect rock ptarmigan, caribou and arctric hare in Newfoundland's Gros Morne National Park during critical weeks of reproduction and growth.

Canada’s Most (And Least) Visited National Parks And Sites For 2021

Point Pelee National Park — the Ontario home to songbird and monarch migrations — has cracked the top 10 list of Canada’s most visited national parks in 2021. It joins Banff National Park and Jasper National Park, which stayed securely in first and second place respectively.
