Big Bend Just The Latest Park To Be Vandalized

For perhaps thousands of years a rock art panel on the face of a boulder stood in a somewhat remote area of Big Bend National Park until two visitors, perhaps attracted to the area by social media posts, felt they had to scratch their names atop the curious petroglyph.

When Will Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park's Volcanoes Dangerously Erupt?

Rumbling and light shaking in Hawai'i is pretty common, what with the volcanic plumbing that created the islands. Just the other day the U.S. Geological Survey's Hawaiian Volcano Observatory reported an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.3 that lightly shuddered the islands.
