Theodore Roosevelt National Park Working On Site Plans For Entire Park

Theodore Roosevelt National Park might be an overlooked or 'out-of-mind' national park, but it's really quite a fascinating place, from the Painted Canyon and the Little Missouri River to the remnants of Theodore Roosevelt's Elkhorn Ranch. To plan for the future of these and other sites in the park, Theodore Roosevelt staff have scheduled two public meetings for next week to discuss the planning process.

Beginning November 10, the cost of Fiery Furnace tickets in Arches National Park as well as backcountry and river permits in Canyonlands National Park will increase to help fund essential maintenance projects and staffing at the parks, the National Park Service said.

National Park Service, Tribes To Highlight History, Traditions Of Native Communities

The National Park Service and the American Indian Alaska Native Tourism Association have agreed on a cooperative agreement to help facilitate regular, robust, and meaningful dialogue between tribes and the Park Service. Strengthening relationships with tribal governments is a cornerstone of the Biden-Harris Administration and this partnership aims to ensure that the perspectives, voices and traditions of indigenous communities are incorporated into exhibits, outreach and cultural tourism programs in national parks.

Repairs Underway To Cape Cod National Seashore Bike Trails

Cyclists pedaling down Cape Cod National Seashore’s Nauset Bike Trail will find the ride considerably less bumpy in the near future. Construction crews are renovating the trail outside Salt Pond Visitor Center by removing overgrown tree roots, replacing sections of pavement and installing barriers to help maintain the trail’s surface moving forward. Weather permitting, seashore officials expect to complete repairs by the end of November.
