Fall Colors Coming To Guadalupe Mountains National Park

By month's end, colorful fall foliage should adorn the mountain slopes and canyons of Guadalupe Mountains National Park in Texas. Colors traditionally peak around the last two weekends of October, with good color development through the first week of November, but each year is unique, depending on weather and environmental factors.

More Than $900,000 Handed Out For Battlefield Interpretation

The National Park Service’s American Battlefield Protection Program has awarded $917,173 in Battlefield Interpretation Grants to preservation partners across the country. This new grant program funds projects that use technology to bring the stories of sites of armed conflict alive for modern audiences, from tactile maps that expand accessibility, to smartphone apps with augmented reality, to engaging videos and more.
