It's been five weeks since the most recent eruption of the Kīlauea volcano at Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park ended, but an increase in tremors could produce an eruption at any time, according to the Hawaii Volcano Observatory.

The National Park Service wants you to wash your hands at the Kennecott Mines National Historic Landmark, a toxic Superfund site within Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and Preserve.

As you walk through the white gyp-sum sands of White Sands National Park in southern New Mexico, your footprints will likely be quickly erased by shifting winds.
