National Park Mystery Spot 23: Cue Ball's Habitat

If the moon were a cue ball, what would its natural habitat be?  Photo by Nosleeper via Flickr.

The mystery spot is a particular place in a National Park System unit. Can you identify it using just these clues?

Saddam built quite a few, and they were very expensive too.

The cue ball's natural habitat is green and smooth and flat.

A peregrine too young to fly dwells in a place that's way up high.

That Cat's in the Cradle guy was way too young to die.

Bonus clue, no extra charge: The best known place in a park that was the first of its kind.

Be sure to check back with Traveler tomorrow for the answer and an explanation of the clues. We'll embargo the answer until then so everybody can have a crack at the mystery spot puzzler.

Congratulations to Eric (6:47 AM), who was the first to provide the correct answer to today's mystery spot puzzler. We'll embargo the answer until tomorrow, as usual.

Ed123, you are on the right track, but you need to pin it down.  Remember that: "The mystery spot is a particular place in a National Park System unit."

Ed123 has also nailed it. 'Way to go!

Hayden Valley in YNP

Nope, not Hayden Valley in Yellowstone, Yellowstone Ed....

M.W (10:38 am) checked in with the correct answer too, adding that he got it right away and probably would have been the winner if only he were a "morning person."   Hmmm. Sounds like weaselspeak to me. ;o)

LB13 ID-ed the mystery spot too. That makes four so far.
