I'll admit that this is a tough one. I've been catching some flak for making these puzzlers too easy, so I thought I'd step it up a notch or two. In working on this one, remember that no one clue contains the solution. You have to put all of the clues together. There's even some help in the abstract that appears with the article title in the Puzzles, Mysteries, and Reviews section of the home page. Here's some more help: it's in the eastern U.S. and it's relatively small.
