A search continued Thursday for a Virginia woman in Shenandoah National Park/NPS HO

A search for a Virginia woman thought to be missing in Shenandoah National Park stretched into its sixth day Thursday, with little for searchers to go on beyond her wrecked Lexus sedan.

Julia Christine Devlin's damaged sedan was found abandoned in the southern part of the park. The 55-year-old from Charlottesville had entered the park on July 14, according to footage from a security camera.

Devlin was described as standing 5 feet, 7 inches tall, weighing 150 pounds, and with dark blonde hair.

The National Park Service is leading the investigation, with assistance from the Virginia Department of Emergency Services. Canine teams were also on site. Park officials urged the public to avoid the area, and said that due to the ongoing investigation and search dog activity, volunteers were not being recruited to help with the search.

If anyone has seen Devlin or has any information about her disappearance, they should contact the ISB tip line: 888-653-0009 or online at go.nps.gov/SubmitATip or email [email protected]
