A milestone was reached this past week, when National Parks Traveler's weekly podcast reached more than 500,000 downloads.
The Traveler launched its weekly podcasts in February 2019 to give those who enjoy exploring the National Park System another medium for learning about the parks. These roughly 45- to 50-minute long podcasts make it easy to stay on top of national parks while driving across town, across the country, or while working in the garden or your woodshop.
Topics run the gamut, from travel pieces in the park system and profiles of park units to news coverage and even how to make your own dehydrated meals for heading into the backcountry, a topic featured in this Sunday's episode.
The Traveler also produces occasional "audio postcards from the parks," which are shorter segments that might focus on a specific aspect of a national park or an experience in the parks.
The podcasts are available from the Traveler's website, or from all the usual podcast download sites, such as iTunes, Spotify, YouTube and elsewhere.
Many thanks to those park travelers who have downloaded these shows. Your support makes them possible.
